NEW Zealand’s cowardly Luxon National Party government has caved in to the whining Jewish lobby, the Young Labor movement and media who appear to have influenced the corporate government entity “Immigration New Zealand” to ban Candace Owens from speaking in Auckland, by denying her a work visa.
In October Young Labor, a group of Ardern acolytes, published an open letter urging the Government to follow Australia’s lead and stop Candace Owens entering the country. “The conservative US commentator and Trump supporter has caused controversy with her views questioning the Holocaust, and criticising feminism, the Black Lives Matter movement, and trans people,” NewsTalkZB reported.
In what has been a trend in recent years, bureaucrat bosses prevail over girl ministers like PM Luxon’s Immigration Minister Erica Stanford, whose reaction to the bureaucrats’ decision was to ask them for details of how the decision to deny a work visa was made. What the heck would a Minister know, right Ms Stanford?
The NZ Free Speech Union is threatening to take the decision to the High Court. “They buckled under pressure from those calling for censorship of views they do not like. Last night, we wrote to the Minister of Immigration, urging that the decision be reconsidered. Censorship is never the answer to ideas some deem unacceptable.”
Young Labor of course welcomed the decision, responding with a media release full of sublimely stupid cultural-Marxist rhetoric and ideology. “New Zealand Young Labour commends the decision to deny entry to far-right commentator Candace Owens, whose divisive and hate-filled rhetoric poses a threat to Aotearoa’s (New Zealand’s) values of inclusivity and compassion.
“This decision reaffirms our nation’s commitment to standing against those who seek to incite hatred and division. Aotearoa is a nation built on manaakitanga, kindness, and acceptance,” said Young Labour president Ethan Reille. “I want to acknowledge how big this moment will be for our queer, rainbow and takatāpui communities.”
The pathetic little Labor boy Reille probably missed the irony that “manaakitanga” is Maori for “hospitality, kindness, generosity, support – the process of showing respect, generosity and care for others.” Takatapui is an invented modern Maori word meaning “LGBTQ people”.
Meanwhile the Jewish lobby joined in the neo-Marxist censorship circus with the Holocaust Centre of New Zealand chairwoman Deborah Hart claiming Owens’ comments about Jews tied into “age-old anti-Semitic conspiracies”.
Hart went on to demonstrate her “Zio-fascist” ideology by attacking Owens for expressing opinions about what actually happened at the Nazi work camps during World War 2 and the role of the Israeli Zionist regimes of Ben Gurion and Eshkol in the death of John F. Kennedy.
Anyone familiar with Owens’ journalistic investigations knows they are very thorough and it’s established historical fact that JFK had a long and fractious relationship with Israel’s leaders over their covert development of nuclear facilities at Dimona. To think that JFK was not a potential target of Mossad assassins would be naive in the extreme.
But Hart’s response is the predictable standard rhetoric of the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith. “Candace Owens has some very wacky ideas. She says that Jews orchestrated JFK’s assassination and she distorts the Holocaust, including questioning the medical experimentation in death camps.
Ms Hart went on to cite a ridiculous social media comment by Owens’ friend Ye (Kanye West) in 2022 when he said he would go ‘Deathcon 3 on Jewish people’ as if West was about to launch into some genocide campaign. He wasn’t. He was just expressing some anger against Jewish people in his circle.
And then our self-appointed arbiter of correct thoughts and speech reminded the NZ Herald that Owens “believes there was no moon landing”. Oh sure Ms Hart, that’s an excellent reason to ban someone from visiting your country.
And of course Hart, like all dutiful Zionists, also had to remind the newspaper of “the sharp rise in anti-Semitism in New Zealand”, and that she “was concerned Owens could further stoke that”. Don’t worry Ms Hart, you’ve stoked it already.
Candace Owens has addressed attacks from the the Jewish networks and in particular an attack directed at her by an American Rabbi named Michael Barclay, who she interviewed on her own podcast – an act in itself that refutes the smear that she is an “antisemitic bigot”.
The Herald joined in this charade by noting for readers that in 2018, “Canadian provocateurs Stefan Molyneux and Lauren Southern – who were known for holding far-right views on immigration, feminism and Islam – were due to speak in Auckland twice, but both venues pulled the pin.”
This narrative is so childish, unenlightened and ill-informed that it could be seen as laughable, but it’s not. It’s a neo-Marxist regime imposing censorship on ideas and speech it doesn’t like and this is the shocking awakening facing thinking New Zealanders who thought Ardern’s replacement government might stand for freedom.
The NZ Free Speech Union said the decision of Immigration NZ’s acting deputy chief operating officer, Jock Gilray, to deny Ms Owens’ visa was based on section 15(1)(f) of the Immigration Act which states, “No visa or entry permission may be granted, and no visa waiver may apply, to any person…who has, at any time, been removed, excluded, or deported from another country.”
“This is not a justifiable reason to deny a person entry into a country. It simply impoverishes healthy
debate that is crucial to a society where we discuss, criticise and critique what we believe ideas,” the group said in a letter to the government.
“Many people may consider Ms Owens ideas to be tasteless, perhaps even abhorrent, but shutting down
dialogue around certain ideas achieves nothing but polarisation, division, undermining of trust in our
institutions and the erosion of free speech and democracy. INZ has taken New Zealand down that path today – a path where the government decides what ideas Kiwis should or shouldn’t hear.
“In light of the decision in Australia being contested, and the inconsistency of your decision with the New
Zealand Bill of Rights Act, we strongly suggest you reconsider your decision to deny Ms Owens entry into
New Zealand. Based on our concern that Immigration New Zealand has acted unlawfully, we are actively
taking legal advice, and considering requesting a judicial review in the High Court.”
Candace Owens can be seen on a number of sites on X and viewers will soon understand that she’s very eloquent and no lightweight in commentaries on political and social issues.
She can get some history wrong, as the boring Liberal Party mouthpiece Andrew Bolt pointed out in his attack on Owens in October. But the good little Melbourne boy Andy knows full well on which side his bread is buttered and went on to join the Bolshevist mob in condemning her as an “anti-Jewish bigot”. Well done Andy, Mr Murdoch and the Lieblers will be clinking glasses.
