ANOTHER day, another globalist gabfest – this time in Germany for the Munich Security Conference, only weeks after their Davos WEF gabfest.
And who should stump up on stage with California’s Gavin Newsom and two other relative nobodys? Andrew “Twiggy” Forrest, the billionaire founder of Fortescue Metals.
Twiggy and Gavin are both global greenies as are the other two guests – Lídia Pereira, vice president of the EPP Parliamentary and Ralph Regenvanu, Vanuatu’s Minister of Climate Change Adaptation, Meteorology and Geo-Hazards, Energy, Environment and Disaster Management aka the Vanuatu Minister for Everything.
What they all have in common is failed green energy ideas. Twiggy Forrest is a prime example, having failed in his “green hydrogen” experiment in the west and in the east at Gladstone with his electrolyzer facility and proposed production plants, that have been abandoned or mothballed. The projects were described as proving “too difficult” and costly.
Twiggy’s failed green escapades have cost the taxpayer more than $100 million in federal and state government grants and support, which is scandalous given that Fortescue Metals has made massive profits in recent years mining iron ore and shipping it off to China.
As of early 2026, the Queensland government has moved to recoup over $66 million in taxpayer funds for the failed Gladstone
project.
Not even The Australian would buy into Forrest’s spin at the conference, that his company will save $US1bn on costs from next year by going ‘fully green’. “The company’s own forecasts suggest otherwise,” noted the newspaper.
As for Governor Gav of California, he and a bunch of other US attendees at the conference, all ganged up on Trump, siding with the Europeans and rooting for war with Russia. Newsom virtually declared California a separate republic, bragging that it’s got a separate climate policy to Trumps, and like all the others, assured the Europeans that “no-one likes Trump” “he doesn’t represent America” etc, etc.
Well of course Newsom would have a climate policy just like Albanese’s, or Starmer’s, or Ursula Von Der Leyen’s. This GlobalThink and ClimateThink or GlobalClimateCrisisThink – Orwellian and stupid to the core.
Cairns News wonders how someone like Twiggy Forrest, apparently smart enough to build a multi-billion-dollar resource company, can fall into this green psychosis. Perhaps it’s a way of assuaging his “guilt” for digging big holes in the landscape and burning millions of tonnes of diesel?
In our featured video, Barbara Boyd notes the address by US Congresswoman Alexendra Ocasio-Cortez in which she suggests to the Europeans that they are disliked by growing numbers of working and middle class people because they have been unable to convince them – like Joe Biden apparently did – that they really do care for the working class.
Boyd maintains, contrary to popular spin that Trump is the billionaires’ man, that Trump is in fact rebuilding the economic base that supports America’s working and middle classes.
