The CDC has just done something unimaginable—something that would’ve been unthinkable just a few years ago. They’ve halted the flu shot campaign. No more multimillion-dollar ad blitz. No more posters in every pharmacy window. No more guilt-tripping from your doctor about “doing your part.” Just… nothing.
The U.S. has been spending up to $100 million a year on this campaign. That’s not just money—that’s decades of programming, entire industries built around it, and a culture of unquestioning compliance. And suddenly, with the stroke of a pen, it’s over. What does that say?
Just to be clear:
The US spends somewhere between $50-$100 MILLION DOLLARS every year promoting flu shots.
That’s a TON of money.
