COMMUNISTS have always persecuted Christianity as an enemy because it does not recognise the state as God and maintains divine laws are above those of the state.
Communists and socialists see their ideology as the all-sufficient provider of human need and moral agency, which is why the Albanese Labor government is on the verge of restricting the natural right of Christian schools to choose their staff based on their religious beliefs.
The Sex Discrimination and Fair Work Amendment (Equality of Treatment in Religious Schools) Bill, put up by “independent” (Teal) MP Allegra Spender, pits the alleged right of LGBTQ+ students, women, and staff “to be free from discrimination” against the right of faith-based schools to operate according to their religious beliefs.
A petition launched by Prof. Joanna Howe has been signed by nearly 46,000 Australians. The petition can be signed at the Save Our Schools website.
The bill repeals broad exemptions under Section 38 of the diabolical Sex Discrimination Act, stopping schools from expelling LGBTQ+ students or firing teachers for being gay, transgender, pregnant, or divorced.
The federal government’s existing Sex Discrimination Act is already bad law as it allows gender activists to prosecute anyone who questions or challenges their beliefs.
The Spender bill paints Christian schools as outposts of bigotry by default. The reality is that most Christian churches and schools do not discriminate against anyone who seeks to follow Christ’s teachings and live a genuine Christian lifestyle.
But those who militantly push and justify their homosexuality or transgenderism are obviously no more welcome on staffs of Christian schools or churches than white supremacists are on the staff of an Indigenous rights organisation.
Backers include Equality Australia, an organisation whose patron is the Governor-General Sam Mostyn, and run by a gaggle of gay and transvestite corporate types and bureaucrats, who all insist on making known their ridiculous “they/them” “him/her” etc pronouns.
These people seem to think of themselves as the “moral guardians of new society”, and in their pampered corporate-activist world with its warped and degenerate ideology, Christianity is “hate” because it not only defines but discriminates between biblical and non-biblical values.
“Equality” in their world, is a loaded political term that aligns with the neo-Marxist identity politics that applies the oppressor-vs-oppressed dynamic to structural cultural identities, including nationality and colonial history, race, sex and gender.
Essentially what Equality Australia is, is a corporate and foundation-funded lobby run by Australia’s elite class of radical gender activists who are empowering LGBTIQ+ activists to wield punitive legislative power over churches, conservative institutions and individuals that get in the way of their so-called new society.
This is already happening with the six years of lawfare against Lyle Shelton and the “discrimination” cases against Kirralie Smith, Sal Grover and others who dared to question and challenge transgenderism crossing the natural biological divide such as women’s sports and female-only associations.
Religious school bodies argue the bill severely weakens their ability to maintain a distinct religious ethos and culture and while it “permits” schools to preference staff of faith in hiring and for core religious roles, they say it strips institutions of the broader freedom to govern their staff and student environments in alignment with traditional theology.
