After Harry’s contentious departure from Sentebale, the Prince is now leaving African Parks.
We have been reporting here on TGP about how Prince Harry’s work with African charities has completely unraveled as of late.
First, Harry departed the Sentebale charity that he co-founded with the Prince of Lesotho, and got entangled in an ugly exchange of accusations with the CEO, Dr. Sophie Chandauka.

But the Sentebale debacle was not the worst trouble for Harry’s African endeavors, as he has now reportedly left an African charity whose park rangers were accused of rape and torture.

The Telegraph reported:
“African Parks confirmed the Duke of Sussex would no longer serve as a director, a year after it admitted “human rights abuses” had been committed by its staff in the Republic of the Congo.
Guards working for the conservation charity at Odzala-Kokoua National Park were accused of raping and torturing the indigenous Baka people in an investigation published by the Mail on Sunday in 2024.”

The charity later accepted that ‘abuses had taken place’, but the findings of its investigation have never been made public.
“It is understood the Duke was closely involved in assessing the findings of a review by Omnia Strategy LLP, a London-based law firm headed by Cherie Blair, and implementing necessary change.
Survival International, an indigenous people’s rights charity, had previously called for the Duke to step down from the charity over the allegations.”
