Bill and Hillary Clinton have announced additional attendees for the Clinton Global Initiative’s September 22–23 meeting in New York, timed to coincide with U.N. General Assembly week.
The guest list includes Prince Harry, Bill Nye, Chrissy Teigen, World Bank Group President Ajay Banga, and LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman.
CGI’s theme for the meeting is “How Do We Get It Right?”
The theme is meant as an “affirmative vision,” the group said, “amidst rising turmoil, division, and continued cuts to government funding,” according to a report from The Hill.
The report explains:
“This year’s meeting is organized around the theme ‘How Do We Get It Right?’, charting out an affirmative vision for the future amidst rising turmoil, division, and continued cuts to government funding,” the organization, founded by the 42nd president in 2005, said in a news release.
It’s not the first time that Harry — who recently made headlines for returning to the U.K. with his family after living for six years in California — has served as a Clinton Global Initiative meeting headliner. In 2024, the British royal family member spoke at the event and warned of an “epidemic” among young people created by social media platforms that he described as “designed to create addiction.”
Nye and Banga have also previously participated in the Clintons’ annual summit.
The agenda list includes AI risk and innovation, climate and energy, rebuilding trust and protecting journalists, “humanitarian work,” health, and research money.
Also slated to attend are Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus, U.N. refugee chief and former Iraqi president Barham Salih, Octopus Energy CEO Greg Jackson, creator Aaron Parnas, and Omidyar Network CEO Michele Jawando.
An August foundation release said funders representing $9.3 billion in annual giving would be in the room to “fill critical gaps.”

CGI was founded in 2005 and sells itself as the place where leaders make “Commitments to Action.”
