AN Aboriginal man burns a flag in public and a leftist mob attacks Australians for carrying Australian flags in Melbourne on Australia Day. Burning a nation’s flag essentially says the perpetrator hates that nation.
In one incident, a young man who waved a flag at a mob of leftists was then set upon and doused in red paint. He did his best landing a few punches on his assailants.
Then there was some stupid, brainwashed inner city youth on a bike wearing Antifa colours (see inset), recorded telling an elderly couple celebrating Australia Day: “I hope the white genocide happens because you guys are c…ts. F…your flag, f… this genocidal country.”
Were these people charged under the new hate speech laws? Not that we’ve heard. The flag burning prompted some outrage from politicians including a fake expression of outrage by Jason Clare, Albanese’s Minister for Education, who is responsible for the brainwashing of kids like the bike boy.
And who was charged? 31-year-old Brandan Koschel, who a squad of Stasi-style NSW police accused of “inciting hatred through an antisemitic speech” during an open mic session at a March for Australia rally at Moore Park.
Koschel’s alleged crime was a 20-second rant where he accused Jews of pushing the hate speech legislation and being “the greatest enemies of this nation” and “enemies of western civilization” and that “for thousands of years … the white man has known that the Jew is our greatest enemy”.
It was a silly little rant typical of the National Socialist Network, and not a very balanced view of history. But now this young man faces a possible jail sentence simply for briefly expressing his view of the world.
“Antifa-Ultras” an Australian branch of Antifa, declared a domestic terrorist organisation in the US, reported the arrest with barely hidden glee. “A neo nazi who delivered a racist speech at the “March for Australia” rally in Sydney was arrested. The speech contained hate speech and called for targeting specific groups. The court denied bail, and the individual will remain in custody pending trial.”
Hate speech? Really? Like the flag burner or the kid on the bike. Premier Chris Minns and the NSW Police must be proud that a US domestic terrorist organisation is on their side.
Barnaby Joyce, who had a couple of boys hoist an Australian flag on his property on the Australia Day weekend, said he would support criminalisation of flag burning.
Meanwhile the Australian Jewish Association (AJA) is now whingeing because the Albanese government has cancelled the visa of “yet another Jewish visitor”.
According to the AJA CEO Robert Gregory, Sammy Yahood was scheduled to visit Australia to speak at major synagogues in Sydney and Melbourne and to participate in events with various Jewish organisations.
“While we weren’t involved in planning the visit, just days ago, the Australian Jewish Association had secured Sammy to run a self-defence session in partnership with another synagogue. The event generated great interest from the Jewish community amid heightened insecurity in Australia,” said Gregory.
“On the Australia Day public holiday, just three hours before his scheiduled flight, Sammy was notified that his visa had been cancelled. Sammy now joins a growing list of Jewish visitors whose visas have been revoked by Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke, including former Israeli Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked, American technology entrepreneur Hillel Fuld, and Knesset Member Simcha Rothman.”
This is the same Jewish lobby that pushed for Candace Owens to be banned from Australia. We can’t accuse Tony Burke of being inconsistent but it’s created an absolutely absurd situation.
Gregory goes on to make the ridiculous claim that “the persistent targeting of Jewish visitors by the Albanese Government has contributed to the rise of antisemitism in Australia”.
Most informed observers know that it’s the perpetual victimhood narrative of the Jewish lobby that fuels cynicism and distrust of Jews – or at least the Jewish lobby.
And now that Albanese is imposing totalitarian speech controls after this lobby has repeatedly complained about “anti-semitism” and called for banning Owens, they are now claiming to be the victims when their own visitors are banned.
Where the Jewish lobby has a justified complaint is Albanese and Burke’s “softly, softly” handling of Islamic preachers in Western Sydney.
“This targeting (of Jewish visitors) is particularly galling given that the government has not acted against Islamic hate preachers,” says Gregory.
Cairns News use of the Stasi label for NSW police is not careless use of words. Suppression of speech was exactly what the Stasi and their Soviet counterparts the KGB notoriously engaged in.
“The Ministry for State Security (German: Ministerium für Staatssicherheit), commonly known as the Stasi was the intelligence service and secret police of East Germany (the German Democratic Republic) from 1950 to 1990,” Wikipedia notes.
“It was one of the most repressive police organisations in the world, infiltrating almost every aspect of life in East Germany, using torture, intimidation, and a vast network of informants to crush dissent.
“The function of the Stasi in East Germany resembled that of the KGB … in that it served to maintain state authority and the position of the ruling party, in this case the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED). This was accomplished primarily through the use of tens of thousands of civilian informants called unofficial collaborators, who contributed to the arrest of approximately 250,000 people in the GDR alone.”
