THE LaRouche movement, which now goes under the name Promethean Action, claims Trump’s early departure from the G7 meeting in Canada, was more than just a response to the Israel-Iran crisis.
A spokeswoman for the organisation, Susan Cochinda, says Trump’s rebuke of the G7 for dismissing Russia from the group in 2014 has sent shockwaves through the global elite which is linked to lingering “British imperial domination of the globe”.
Trump told the G7 meeting “your system creates war”, a statement that seems to align with his anti-globalist sentiment. But Trump’s bombing operation appears to have satiated the demands of the neoconservative, war-mongering wing of the Republicans and Netanyahu and his circle.
Cochinda says that since 1971, when she joined Lyndon LaRouche’s movement, she has seen every attempt of nations to break free from British imperial control “and I can tell you, what Trump is doing right now is unprecedented”.
The broadcast was apparently made before the weekend US bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities and it is not yet clear how this affects the group’s prognosis of Trump policy.
Cochinda says Trump is navigating the Israel-Iran crisis in ways most people don’t understand, and the British are panicking because Trumps economic and strategic revolution is working and it can end the post-war globalist order “if you understand it and support it”.
Promethean Action is involved with the MAGA movement which has strongly supported a “no foreign wars” policy, which Trump appears to have betrayed – at least for the time being.
Cochinda says Trump made his anti-G7 statements while standing side-by-side with Canadian PM Mark Carney “the very icon of post-War, globalist economic policy”. She noted Trump’s statement that “the G7 used to be called the G8. Barack Obama and a person named Trudeau didn’t want to have Russia in. And I would say that was a mistake, because I think you wouldn’t have a war now if you had Russia in.”
“Let that sink in. Trump in front of the whole world, told the architects of the post-War order that their entire system is the problem and he’s right. The G7 represents everything that Trump is dismantling,” said Cochinda.
She says the old world order needs enemies to survive but Trump is looking for partnerships instead. She also noted that Russia was willing to negotiate a peace deal between Iran and Israel.
“Donald Trump is committed to a new world of sovereign nations, not a world in which nations are pieces on the geopolitical chessboard to be moved or sacrificed by the global overlords,” she said.
While Trump is caught between anti-war, nationalist MAGA purists and neocon Zionist war hawks like Lindsey Graham and Mike Pompeo, Cochinda says this misses the point.
“Trump is trying to untangle decades of imperial policy and he’s doing it out in the open. Trump is up against political leaders and movements at home and abroad that have been created by the British elites – Zionists, radical Islamic fundamentalists, neocons, leftist crazies.
“These forces are loose in a world that Donald Trump has to deal with as he tries to take command of the situation while he maintains his commitment to defend the United States and re-establish it as a sovereign republic, and that’s what terrifies the old world has-beens.”
Cochinda says Trump needs the help of ground level people to “cut through the fog of war” and see the larger picture and deeper principals.
She goes on to make the point that Trump and his “relatively small team” are dealing with a long-standing culture of war and regime change which is deeply embedded in the intelligence and military institutions.
“But they are doing something even more fundamental: Trump is replacing the post-War global liberal economic order with the most dramatic return to the American system in generations.
“While Trump was dealing with the global crisis, back home his policies delivered something incredible: Blue-collar workers saw real wage growth of almost 2 per cent in just his first five months, the largest increase in any administration for nearly 60 years.”
She said Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent had attributed this to Trump’s commitment to manufacturing and removal of illegal immigrants from the workforce.
“In Omaha, when ICE raided a meat packing plant in Omaha, dozens of Americans showed up the next day to fill out job applications. That’s how you restore the dignity of work.”
Cochinda and her movement believe that the British Empire has spent centuries convincing Americans that prosperity requires imperial wars and cheap foreign labour, and Trump is now proving them wrong.
The movement supports Trump’s “Big Beautiful Spending Bill” because it includes incentives for manufacturing that could create up to 6 million blue-collar jobs.
They also support Trump’s attempts to do deals with Russia, China and India because it could create an alternative economic axis to the present system dominated by the City of London. Cochinda says the British are willing to risk World War 3 to stop Trump’s bid to create “a new alignment of sovereign nations” which would end their centuries-old game.
Cochinda, in another broadcast, says Trump is essentially finishing unfinished American business of the past 250 years.
