Lake Charles Caretaker Caught on Camera Pouring Bleach Into Handicapped Man’s Water — Then Told Him “Here, Drink This” * The Gateway Pundit * by Jim Hᴏft

A 30-year-old home health worker in Lake Charles, Louisiana, is behind bars after police say he poured bleach into a water bottle and handed it to the physically and mentally handicapped man he was paid to care for.

Reginald Andre Wilson Jr. was arrested Monday night and booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center on charges of aggravated battery, cruelty to persons with infirmities, mingling of harmful substances, and theft under $1,000. Bond was set at $70,000, according to The Advocate.

The victim is 48-year-old Marshal Huntsberry. Family members say he was struck in a hit-and-run years ago and has been unable to walk since. He is physically and mentally handicapped and cannot care for himself.

Lake Charles police say a relative living in the home called them around 7:30 p.m. Monday after Huntsberry drank from the bottle and immediately noticed it tasted like bleach. When the relative confronted Wilson, police say he admitted he put the bleach in the water.

The family posted the home security video. It is damning.

Wilson is seen walking to the laundry area, grabbing a large jug, pouring a substance into a water bottle, shaking it, and handing it to Huntsberry with the words, “Here, drink this.”

Heaven on Earth Network Inc., the agency that employed Wilson, says it removed him from the property and took Huntsberry to the emergency room.

In a statement the company posted after the video went public, administrators claimed client safety is their “number one priority” and that “any abuse is not tolerated.” They added that “the actions of this one person does not define who we are,” according to KPLCTV.

According to the full statement:

“Heaven On Earth Network Inc. administration and staff are deeply saddened to see what transpired in the recent video shared on social media concerning a client and one of our staff members. I would like to start off by saying that our client’s health and safety is our number one priority and that any abuse is not tolerated by our agency. We immediately took action and removed the worker and transported client to ER to be evaluated. We are working with local authorities as well as state agencies according to our policies and procedures. Because of HIPPA and the nature of this; I’m not allowed to share any other details. But I do want to add that we have some great individuals that do outstanding work and that the actions of this one person does not define who we are! Again, we are cooperating with all authorities to seek justice for our client and the investigation is ongoing. Thank you and continue to pray for our community, and those who are most vulnerable.”
