A major legal battle over federal bureaucracy took a sharp turn after U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan refused to block Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from accessing federal data and terminating workers. Fourteen Democrat state attorneys general, desperate to protect the bloated federal workforce, tried to stop Musk and DOGE but failed to convince the court of any imminent harm.
The lawsuit argued that Trump had given Musk too much power without congressional approval, yet the judge found no legal grounds for an emergency injunction. While she expressed skepticism about Musk’s role, her ruling was clear—DOGE can proceed.
The decision is a blow to the left’s attempt to shield the D.C. machine from reforms aimed at cutting waste and streamlining government operations. Despite legal posturing, the reality remains: the bureaucracy is panicking as real accountability comes knocking.
