Foreign aid has a place where it advances US interests abroad. That to me is a very narrow set of circumstances. Giving an ally who trades a mineral strategic to the US aid in return for a favorable price on that mineral is valid. Giving every country on earth money to buy condoms is not a valid US interest. The world basically views the US as Uncle Sugar and it’s time that changed. It was time that changed forty years ago.
