Energy Secretary Chris Wright Weighs in on Strait of Hormuz, “Either the Regime is Gonna Change, or This Regime is Gonna Change its Policy” – (VIDEO)

Energy Secretary Chris Wright was on “Fox News Sunday” with host Shannon Bream to talk about the situation in the Strait of Hormuz.

Secretary Wright also talked about how the Western Hemisphere has benefited greatly since the US went into Venezuela to remove Maduro. Investment in capital to extract and refine oil will greatly improve Venezuela’s situation while also benefiting the US and the entire Western Hemisphere.

“Let’s talk about the traffic through the Strait. There are skeptics about the numbers,” Bream said.

“Why is there a dispute about the data on what’s actually getting through the Strait at this point?” Bream asked.

“It’s funny to read or hear that stuff. We know every ship. The name of the ship, what it’s carrying, you know, in these convoys we are pushing,” Wright said.

“We are not guessing. We are not doing any crazy math. We are just reporting exactly what is going through the southern route through the Strait of Hormuz,” Wright said.

“The running average right now is over 9 million barrels a day, just on the waterborne routes. There are also the pipeline routes that are taking another 4 or 5,” Wright continued.

“We are putting maximum economic pressure on Iran and isolating them. At the same time that we are doing that, they are trying to wage economic terrorism against the rest of the world by trying to impede the flow of traffic,” Wright said.

“So yes, it is the US Navy that is ensuring that this flow comes out. We wish Iran would stop doing what they are doing, but we are degrading their capacities to do that,” Wright explained.

“Either the regime is gonna change, or this regime is gonna change its policy. One of those two things is gonna happen,” Wright said.

“Let’s talk about Venezuela. You were down there for this deal that will give us some level of access, restarting infrastructure and rebuilding down there with their oil output,” Bream said.

“It is just a huge win for both sides. I’m down in Venezuela. The people in the streets of Venezuela are so thrilled to see America there,” Wright said.

“This is a country for 25 years with a Communist dictatorship. Now it has a free press. We’ve had hundreds of political prisoners released. We want to get every last one of them released,” Wright continued.

“Their oil exports have grown 50 percent. Their total national production is up 25 percent. It will likely be doubled by the end of next year, when it was pre-US intervention,” Wright said.
