Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin has said a migrant caravan walking north from Honduras has “zero chance” of making it into the United States.
The official DHS account posted the vow on X, along with a video of Mullin discussing the issue with Carl Higby on Newsmax.
“The caravan has ZERO chance at coming into our country,” the post bluntly asserted.
“Under President Trump and Secretary Mullin, we are delivering the MOST SECURE border in American history — with zero illegal aliens released into our nation for 16 consecutive months.”

The caravan calls itself Fe y Esperanza, which means “Faith and Hope.” It left San Pedro Sula, Honduras, on September 20 with a few hundred people, crossed Guatemala, and entered Chiapas.
The group was estimated at about 300 when it reached Tapachula, then closer to 600 after other migrants already stuck in southern Mexico joined.
The mix is Honduran, Guatemalan, Salvadoran, Ecuadorian, Haitian, and possibly even some Cubans.
The caravan left Tapachula’s Bicentennial Park on Sunday night in rain from Tropical Storm Rachel and started up the coastal highway.
DHS told Fox the Border Patrol is “actively tracking” the group and “closely engaged with its international partners.”
“USBP reminds migrants that under the leadership of President Trump and Homeland Secretary Mullin, the border has remained closed and secured for the last 16 months.”
The statement added, “The days of ‘catch and release’ are over, and Biden’s disastrous open border policy has been SEALED SHUT. Anyone attempting to illegally enter the United States will be apprehended, prosecuted, and removed from the country.”

White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis told Newsweek, “The message to the caravan is you will not be allowed into our country.”
“Our border is closed to lawbreakers,” Bis added.
A DHS source told Breitbart that the group will likely be broken up in southern Mexico, the way other caravans have been this year.
“Compared to the more than 10,000 migrants that were hitting the border daily four years ago, we are prepared to deal with 600, but the odds of seeing them reach the border are highly unlikely,” the source told the outlet.
An April caravan marched about 90 miles, then dissolved after Mexican authorities stepped in and sent people back toward Tapachula.
Mullin said he has been talking with Mexico and that Mexican officials are helping disperse this one too.
From Tapachula to the nearest Texas crossing is more than 900 miles.
The caravan news is what prompted DHS on Sunday to quote a “huge migrant caravan” alert and post a Brian Dawkins hit reel under the caption “Our time has come.”
As The Gateway Pundit reported, the NFL asked that the video be taken down.
The department left it up and said it is playing lockdown defense.
