MERRICK Garland, the slimy Department of (Alleged) Justice chief and “gentleman lawfare enforcer” of the Biden regime, in cahoots with Christopher Wray of his FBI political police, have charged two Russians who allegedly financed independent media company Tenet Media.
Mainstream media is reporting that the Biden administration is accusing Russia of attempting to interfere in the 2024 presidential election, “including through a sophisticated influence campaign that involved the creation of fake news sites designed to covertly spread Russian propaganda”, CBS reported. Dozens of sites have reportedly been shut down.
“Russian propaganda” is a code word for any news or information that doesn’t come from mainstream media channels. Tenet Media supports leading online independent political voices such as Lauren Southern, Tim Pool (Timcast News), Benny Johnson and Dave Rubin, a quite moderate libertarian who has appeared on Fox News and Sky News Australia.
The shutdown has been done on the basis of Tenet Media merely being “linked” to the two Russian individuals who worked for the Russian government-backed network RT. Garland accuses the pair of “illegally funding a Tennessee-based media organisation” that the DOJ did not directly name.
The Washington Post said the channels were “run by right-wing media entrepreneur” Lauren Chen and her husband Liam Donovan. They have not been charged. However Chen’s video-making contract with Glen Beck’s Blaze Channel was immediately cancelled.
Strangely, the two individuals named in the charges are still at large. They allegedly played some role in channelling $10 million to various “right wing influencers” including Tenet Media. The charges include money laundering and violating foreign influence laws.
Tim Pool’s Timcast News channel is still running on X and Rubin’s YouTube channel was not shut down. YouTube, owned by Google, shut down Tenet’s channel and four other channels. According to CBS the DOJ “seized more than two dozen internet domains used in a foreign malign influence campaign directed by the Russian government”.
The charges coincide with the ongoing global “anti-disinformation” operation against independent media channels including Telegram, whose CEO Havel Durov was arrested in France last month and Australia and Brazil’s actions against Elon Musk’s X platform.
YouTube told the Washington Post that this was “part of the company’s ongoing efforts to combat coordinated “influence operations”. Apparently a political YouTube channel seeking to influence people is something evil or undesirable. We’re also expected to believe that mainstream media doesn’t indulge in “influence operations” when the Church Committee in the mid-1970s found the CIA had infiltrated all major US news companies.
Nevertheless the US Department of Justice and the FBI pinned charges on the two at-large RT characters. Prosecutors allege that the founders of the media company in the indictment knew their funding was coming from Moscow and privately acknowledged in messages to each other that their backers were Russian.
According to the Washington Post, the indictment “outlines how prosecutors say this money was sent overseas and shared among the conservative YouTubers through whom Russia sought to promote its agenda.”
Cairns News runs reports on the Ukraine war from a Russian Cossack colonel but has not been offered money by Russian sources. Our contributions are all voluntary, although some funds are provided by donations and advertising to cover costs.
The US, British and EU establishments are attempting to paint the rise of anti-globalist populism as somehow the result of Russian propaganda operations. Ironically it is this leftist, cultural Marxist establishment that hates Russia for its anti-LGBTQ stance, Putin’s authoritarian rule and Russia’s refusal to submit to the NATO globalist power bloc.
Kamala Harris, egged on by CNN’s establishment shill Jake Tapper, joined the chorus spouting the alleged justification for censoring independent media. Tucker Carlson’s interview of a controversial revisionist historian Darryl Cooper who accused Winston Churchill of being responsible for inflaming World War 2, also fueled the outcry from the like of Liz Cheney.
Lauren Southern is a Canadian journalist, documentary filmmaker, author, and mother. Her film Farmlands investigated the murder of South African farmers, while Borderless documented the European migration crisis.
Southern has made appearances on Fox News in America, Sky News in Australia, and written for a wide variety of publications, including The Spectator, Spiked, and the IB Times.
Tim Pool’s podcast is based in West Virginia and appears on X. As a journalist he covered civil unrest around the globe and received a Short Award for the “Best Journalist in Social Media” in 2013. His work has been recognized on Fox News, NBC, Reuters, MSNBC and Al Jazeera.
His latest series, “Culture War,” hosts engaging debates and discussions on societal and cultural topics with guests from across the political spectrum
Tayler Hansen from Montana, is a field reporter for Tenet Media, presenting nationwide breaking news and culture related issues. He produced video reporting of the 2020 civil unrest and riots, in addition to documenting the January 6th 2021 shooting of Ashli Babbitt at the US Congress.
