Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent hit back at Barack Obama’s insults with a snarky response as he walked out of the Cheesecake Factory in DC on Monday.
Barack Obama hit the campaign trail on Saturday to help boost Democrats in Ohio with his old, tired message of ‘Hope and Change.’
Obama rallied in Cleveland for Democrat US Senate candidate Sherrod Brown and Democrat gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton.
Obama trashed President Trump and accused him of incompetence.
“[This election] just feels a little bit different!” Obama said.
“People are so sick and tired of being sick and tired. After two years of chaos and cruelty. and corruption. and incompetence, you get a chance to say enough is enough!” Obama said.
Obama also mocked Trump for his renovations.
“[Trump] has got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened up a Cheesecake Factory. It’s gold everywhere,” Obama said.
Fox Business caught Bessent after he dined at the Cheesecake Factory and asked him about Obama’s comments about Trump’s renovations.
Bessent mocked Obama for his hideous presidential center.
“This is the man who built the museum that looks like Darth Vader’s tomb! I would tell the Martha’s Vineyard set to give it a try,” Bessent said.
