IT seems our prime suspect in the second assassination attempt on Donald Trump, Ryan Routh, has something in common with the other alleged and now deceased would-be Trump assassin Thomas Crooks.
An online platform called Culture Wars has posted on X a 2022 propaganda video for the AZOV Battalion featuring our alleged assassin Routh. AZOV Battalion is of course the Ukrainian militia with neo-Nazi roots funded by the CIA and US State Department in their decades-long operations against pro-Russian Ukrainian political leaders.
Thomas Crooks, who tried to take out Trump, appeared in a BlackRock commercial while in high school.
So both Crooks “the student loner” and Routh, the “former roofing contractor from Greensboro, North Carolina”, are known in influential circles, most likely CIA circles.
The New York Times, reports that it interviewed Routh in 2023 for an article about Americans volunteering to aid the war effort in Ukraine. We might ask how a roofing contractor from Greensboro, North Carolina, suddenly comes to the notice of the NY Times. Routh had no military experience but somehow just “traveled to the country after Russia’s invasion and wanted to recruit Afghan soldiers to fight there”.
Our “roofing contractor” apparently also pursued some contacts in a high-level US diplomatic organisation to help him with his special little military mission.
According to the NY Times, when Routh spoke to them the 2023 in a telephone interview from Washington, “he spoke with a self-assuredness of a seasoned diplomat who thought his plans to support Ukraine’s war effort were sure to succeed”.
“But he appeared to have little patience for anyone who got in his way,” the paper reported. “When an American foreign fighter seemed to talk down to him in a Facebook message he shared with The New York Times, Mr. Routh said, “he needs to be shot.” Our alleged assassin sounds a tad psychotic, which would be consistent with the CIA messing with the mind of some Manchurian Candidate.
Routh, the Times tells us, “was in Washington to meet with the US Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, known as the Helsinki Commission “for two hours” to help push for more support for Ukraine. The commission is led by members of Congress and staffed by congressional aides. It is influential on matters of democracy and security and has been vocal in supporting Ukraine.”
We can’t say categorically, but we could almost guarantee that the so-called Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe is heavily CIA influenced, if not CIA run. It has also recently been in strife, with a leaked memo from the Commission’s current, Republican-appointed staff director accusing his Democratic-appointed predecessor of “improperly helping Ukraine”. As suggested in our previous story, Ukraine is basically a giant CIA base, and a highly corrupt one at that.
But curiously, Routh was also interviewed by the Romanian edition of Newsweek in May-June 2022. “A lot of the other conflicts are grey but this conflict is definitely black and white. This is about good versus evil,” Routh said in the interview. Routh had been living in Kiev in the summer of 2022.
Edward Snowden, the famous US CIA defector who was caught up in fighting between the CIA and NSA, posted on X as well: “We know little so far, but w(ith) alleged Trump shooter’s personal and public participation in military activity in Ukraine, it is hard to imagine this White House’s agencies can claim zero contact – “clean hands.” Something of an Oswald vibe, here. Congress should get answers.”
Snowden continued: “I’m not saying this guy was some pro on somebody’s payroll, obviously—in my opinion, the guy just looks deranged. But that doesn’t mean the government didn’t have a hand in encouraging his past militancy, as we once did with Bin Laden. We had a word for it at the CIA: blowback.”
