EINAT Temkin, a leftist American Jew and former research assistant at the University of Southern California Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism, has expressed her shock and dismay on the X platform over reports confirming the ritualistic abuse of Palestinian prisoners, including the use of dogs.
Cross-confirmation of the allegations that have been floating around the net and mainstream media recently, including on the BBC and Tucker Carlson.
“Israel has denied all the allegations, but rights groups say the fury in the country over the 7 October attacks and the treatment of Israeli hostages in Gaza has created a culture of impunity within the prison services, especially towards detainees who have expressed support for Hamas and its attacks,” the BBC reported. They did not mention the dogs allegations.
“In August 2024, leaked CCTV from inside Sde Teiman military prison in southern Israel showed a Palestinian detainee from Gaza allegedly being abused with a sharp object by soldiers, leaving the man with a pierced rectum. The assault allegedly happened in July 2024.
“Five Israeli reservist soldiers were charged with aggravated abuse and causing serious bodily harm to the detainee.”
Former Military Advocate General Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi resigned, and was arrested last year, after admitting her role in leaking a video of the alleged abuse by Israeli soldiers. Israeli media reported on the scandal as well, but not the dogs element.
However, on May 22 the New York Times ran what Jewish sources called “the Hamas-originated dog rape libel” claiming Israeli soldiers trained dogs to rape Palestinian prisoners, prompting Bibi Netanyahu to threaten the Times with a defamation suit.
“I know not,” writes Temkin. “I’ve been avoiding this as long as possible, as I confess it fills me with such disgust and despair that I’ve found it difficult to address it. IMHO, this is probably the most horrific, disturbing and traumatizing news to come out of Israel since this whole nightmare began, and that’s saying quite a bit.
“I’ll just quote Phil Rockstroh for now because I’m not ready – and I don’t think I ever will be – to take on this verified report or try to process it or discuss it in any way shape or form.”
Temkin’s fellow leftist and flotilla supporter Phil Rockstroh posted: “Israeli analyst Shaiel Ben-Ephraim has confirmed evidence that Israeli forces are sexually assaulting Palestinian detainees using dogs inside Israeli detention sites.
“These testimonies were collected and documented by numerous human rights organisations, including B’Tselem, Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor, the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights and the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
“This happened. This is happening still. The evidence is too overwhelming,” said Shaiel, who is no friend of the Israeli settlers.
Temkin says if rape, as state policy, was a practice of the Iranian government or were routinely committed by members of Hamas or Hezbollah, the stories would be proliferate and the Western media outrage machine would be in high gear.
“Yet the offender is Israel and its victims are people of the Islamic faith thus Western media displays indifference,” she says.
According to the Switzerland-based Euro-MENA (Middle East North Africa) Human Rights Monitor, the Israeli military is using police dogs to systematically attack Palestinian civilians during military operations in the Gaza Strip. The dogs are also used to intimidate, beat, and sexually assault prisoners and detainees in Israeli detention facilities.
“Numerous incidents of Israeli forces using large police dogs during military operations in the Strip have been recorded by the Euro-Med Monitor field team, particularly during raids of homes, shelters, and medical facilities,” the group claims.
“These ways include checking out sites before raids without having to enter them, by strapping surveillance cameras to dogs’ backs, as well as allowing dogs to repeatedly maul or otherwise attack civilians, without any interference from members of the Israeli arm.
“In fact, according to testimonies, Israeli forces often order the dogs to attack civilians, and then mock the victims of the attacks.”
Temkin, predictably, blames Trump. “Trump, unhinged that his narcissistic will has been thwarted by fierce and sustained Iranian resistance to his war of imperial choice, lies that Iran is a nation of barbarians; therefore, US/Israeli war criminality is not only justified but righteous.”
Temkin says that during his 2024 presidential campaign, Trump slandered Haitian refugees “by his deranged, racist claim that they have a proclivity for eating household pets”.
“Yet his soulmate in homicidal psychopathology Bibi Netanyahu’s IDF have units that have trained dogs to act as rape delivery systems.”
Given that Moslems see dogs as unclean creatures as do rabbinic Jews, it’s not difficult to deduce why they would be used in such a foul and degrading manner to both the animal and the human victims.
“By the repellent nature of the above crimes, one experiences a reflex to look askance in disbelief. Don’t. Turn your gaze to the true nature of the Zionist state,” says Temkin.
“Repulsion and outrage are a sane response to the lack of humanity on display. The same applies to US/Western societal and government elites who contrive to whitewash and bury the revelations of the Epstein saga.
“One’s mind is all but overwhelmed by the knowledge of Israel’s rape prisons and the Epstein elites’ theme-park Island of human degradation are intertwined by decadence and cruelty of last-stage imperium. Do not be mortified to the degree you look away and move on. Undertake a study in darkness.”
Temkin sees the US empire “in steep, irredeemable decline”. “Israel, as well, has set itself on a course of self-destruction. Future historians, social critics, philosophers, and creative types will study in depth our unfortunate epoch. Be ahead of the curve. Demand an end to the West’s enabling of Israel.”
Tragically, the enabling of Israeli atrocities by Trump is largely his playing politics to the pro-Israel US evangelicals, the Republican Party neo-conservatives and the Jewish mega-donors who back them in every US pre-selection contest.
