Inflation and cost-of-living running as rampant as fuel prices

There was a time in Australia where sheep were primarily grown for their wool. The meat was a “secondary” product; and even then only the roast leg and few chops were kept, the rest was basically pet food. It was the average family’s primary source of meat as beef was expensive in comparison. The saying “Riding On The Sheep’s Back” was very true during and after the war as all our beef and leather went into the war effort. Even as little as 20 or 30 years ago lamb and mutton were a very economical alternative to beef.

The Labor Government dribbles around the media that inflation is running at around 3.7 per cent which is total rubbish as any household would know particularly those members who do the grocery shopping.

Real inflation rates are running at more than 10 per cent and since the 70’s it could be as high as 50 per cent or more. Just gauge what $1 could buy in 1973 and what $1 can buy now.

The real Labor supporters of the 70’s could have their union meeting and get pissed at the pub for $2. A pot of beer was around 30 cents and a packet of Ardath Specials and a litre of super petrol were about the same price.

The LibLab duopoly has really taken us for a ride over the years but they can no longer do it because petrol now is $2.75 a litre, if you can find it, making it too expensive to take us anywhere.

Dumbed-down ABC, Murdoch, Channel 9 and Fairfax media reporters all averaging about 22 years of age and having been processed through a red university somewhere just can’t understand the rush to support the “extreme” One Nation party.

The momentum for change is growing daily and how the Liberals with their miles of Covid vaccine baggage think voters will support them is as mystifying as the Dezi Freeman assassination this week.
