In one of the LNP’s dirtiest campaigns for years it has won the by-election in Hinchinbrook with 41.3 percent of the vote including preferences.
Katters Australian Party was second on 30.2 per cent with preferences and One Nation polled 13.5 per cent, giving its third preference to the Liberal Party.
Today party leader Robbie Katter said if every ON voter had not followed their how to vote card which preferenced the Liberals ahead of KAP, his party could have won the seat.
“Mark Molachino (KAP candidate) ran a great campaign without criticising his opponents and the Hnchinbrook electorate will miss KAP and its hard work,” Mr Katter said.
One Nation did a dirty deal with the Liberals to get rid of aligned independent KAP and hand Hinchinbrook to the Brisbane-centric party.
On analysis of the voting trends it could be assumed the LNP voters of Hinchinbrook are suffering from an acute case of Stockholm Syndrome.
It could be reasoned that only a few of these LNP supporters have been struck down with Covid mRNA vaccine injuries compliments of the federal Liberals compared to other parts of the country especially cities where there have been innumerable deaths and injuries from the jab since 2021.
Liberal Senator Alex Antic blew the whistle on the corrupt federal LNP stating in the Senate there were more than 33,000 excess deaths nationally in 2022-23 following the vaccine rollout, which have increased exponentially since then.
