WA Sovereign Peoples Assembly: Labor govt weaponised narrative to unlawfully seize guns from “peaceful members”

Media statement from Alan Wallace, Sheriff Co-ordinator

The Sovereign Peoples Assembly of Western Australia firmly rejects recent claims suggesting that individuals associated with so-called ‘sovereign citizen’ movements pose a danger to the People.

This narrative has been irresponsibly promoted and weaponised to justify the unlawful seizure of lawfully owned firearms from peaceful, responsible, and registered owners, during raids conducted in WA this past week.

These operations involved several officers and in at least one instance, the use of a drone. Records show that police have shot dead 164 people, a 78% increase between 2018and 2020 (https://www.sydneycriminallawyers.com.au) and from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024, there were 104 deaths in custody (https://www.aic.gov.au), with 78 since January this year 2025, under their duty of care.

A sobering reminder of the imbalance of accountability. The Police Commissioner’s recent statement referenced six officers shot in recent incidents but failed to clarify that these involved unlicensed firearms, not lawful licence holders.

Meanwhile, the Cook Labor Government’s firearm reforms were introduced without consultation with the People, the true source of power, or with compliant firearm owners, who are now being treated as threats rather than partners in community safety. These recent police actions are viewed as disproportionate and unlawful, raising serious human rights and procedural concerns.

Let’s remember that these people are public servants paid on the public purse and are answerable to us.

Maxim of Law: All are accountable for their actions. Corporate immunity is a myth and does not exist in Law. The term ‘sovereign citizen’ is a contradiction in itself and is not a label recognised or used by those who stand in Law. However, we are all Sovereign, and we are all Citizen.

The Sovereign is the living sentient being with breath. Superior Jurisdiction. Those with this knowledge and awareness generally stand in natural or common law and answer to God and to the Maxims of Law. The Citizen, by contrast, is a subject of the state — bound by statutes, codes, and legal fictions.

Citizen is the inferior jurisdiction term, alongside ‘person’ and ‘public’. The People represented by the Assembly are law-abiding men and women, who uphold law — not the legal fiction — through the principles of truth, accountability, and Lawful Due Process. These principles are deeply rooted in the ancient and immutable Maxims of Law that predate modern statutory systems.

It is both misleading and defamatory to equate law-abiding People asserting their natural rights with extremist or criminal activity. This false narrative erodes trust, undermines community harmony, and seeks to discredit those working to restore lawful governance and the ascendance of due process in Australia.

The Assembly notes that the recent confiscation of firearms under the pretext of ‘public safety’ represents a grave breach of trust and a violation of the lawful rights of peaceful men and women. Lawful possession of private property cannot be removed without proper cause, evidence, or Lawful Due Process. Claims of Sovereign Citizen ideologies, beliefs and opinions are to be proven by Lawful Due Process. Maxim of Law : the claimant must prove their claim.

The Sovereign Peoples Assembly calls upon all responsible People and members of the media to cease the dissemination of fear-based rhetoric and to engage respectfully and responsibly with those working to uphold Rule of Law: All Are Equal Before The Law and Lawful Due Process.

The Assembly reaffirms its commitment to peace, transparency, and the lawful protection of the people’s rights and property. ends

Cairns News: Premier Roger Cook, allegedly panic-stricken after realising there are many thousands of loyal people even in Western Australia, ordered his corporate enforcers to seize firearms.

Roger Cook should urgently investigate what agreements relating to a Western Alliance Don Trump and King Charles made on September 16 at Buckingham Palace. He might soon apologise to the honest gun owners of WA.
