Climate youngsters to sleep on street outside MP’s office with a blow-up mattress and dolly

The Australian Youth Climate Coalition mob intend to protest today at Labor Member for Leichardt, Matt Smith’s Cairns office about a perceived lack of action by Labor to act on a skewed climate risk report.

The report released last week and cooked up by disreputable Al Gore disciples threw the legacy media into a frenzy, probably because MSM does not employ intelligent reporters anymore preferring cheaper university graduates or climate cultists to peddle their Net Zero nonsense.

These woke students are mostly drawn from the ranks of James Cook University which brainwashes high school kids with Labor and Greens curriculum containing very dodgy data to impress upon naive students the sky is falling in.

These students would be better spending their time taking in much more accurate and reliable climate advice from Professor Ian Plimer or learned politicians such as Senator Malcolm Roberts or former Senator Gerrard Rennick whose climate science acumen is second to none.

Blackout Bowen certainly does not fit the place of a role model other than for gross stupidity.

Wow, perhaps they could have attended the CPAC conference at the weekend where they would have heard much more reputable science than that being pushed by Greens lecturers at JCU.

According to their poster the protesters intend wearing pyjamas at Leichhardt Electorate Office so they should also provide some wet tissues to keep up the moisture behind their ears because it can get quite hot sleeping on the streets with their homeless cousins.

A blow-up mattress also will be set up outside electorate offices to emphasise that the Albanese government is “asleep on climate” and “in bed with coal and gas corporations”.

Well maybe they should bring a blowup dolly too, gender neutral of course, to release some of their misguided climate tensions and to illustrate that Labor will take any port in a storm.

The diatribe on their poster continues:

“Outraged communities, led by young people, are protesting across Australia after the Albanese government delivered an “embarrassing” 2035 climate target just days after the release of a terrifying climate risk report.

On Thursday, the federal government announced a 2035 emission reduction target of 62-70% – a weak target from a timid Prime Minister, that is too little, too late.

A “Sleep-In” will take place on the doorstep of Labor MP for Leichhardt, Matt Smith, on Monday 22 September from 4pm.

“We are determined to send Albanese and the Labor Government a clear message: Stop Sleeping on Climate!,” said Natasha Abhayawickrama, National Campaigner for AYCC.

“Labor is in bed with the coal and gas industry, with the approval of over 28 coal and gas projects and expansions in their first term. Last week they approved Woodside’s North-West Gas Shelf extension, one of the most polluting gas projects in the southern hemisphere. The announcement of this weak 2035 target is a total betrayal of our futures.

“Young people, First Nations people, Pacific Islanders and those on the frontlines of the climate crisis cannot afford Labor’s continued inaction and support for the coal and gas industry.”

Matt Smith’s office has been contacted for comment.
