UnitedHealth, in its own SEC filing, admitted the existence of civil and criminal investigations while insisting it has “full confidence” in its practices. But confidence is not compliance. “This is deeply concerning because of the scope of the company’s reach,”
said one industry analyst, warning that flaws inside UnitedHealth ripple across the entire health system.
