Britain will lend Ukraine 2.26 billion pounds ($2.94 billion) as part of a much larger G7 loan. It’s part of Russia’s frozen assets to help buy weapons – Defence minister John Healey said the money is ‘solely’ to be used by Ukraine’s military, Reuters reported.

Healey said the use of the G7 money was discussed by Zelensky and PM Keir Starmer at the talks. When asked if the money would be used to buy British-made Storm Shadows, he said it would be used ‘heavily’ on ‘even longer-range drones’.
